Coach more athletes — without more hours.

Forge is one place to run strength coaching: programming, set-by-set logging, film, messages and meet day. The demo below is the real product — use it right here, no account.

The coach's Home in the Forge demo: a Needs-attention queue of messages, film and flags above the roster table with each athlete's program, last session, 30-day trend, week volume and recent top sets.

What you are looking at: the coach's Home — what needs you first (messages, film waiting, a failed top set), then the roster: who trained, who didn't, the 30-day trend. The names and numbers in the demo are its sample roster, not customers. Its own banner says so — and the wheel scrolls the demo while the pointer is over it, the page when it is not.

One place

Your coaching lives in four places — and none of them talk to each other.

Not a feature list. This is where a coaching week actually goes, and why "more athletes" so often means "more evenings".

01

The spreadsheet

Your programs live in it. So does your logging. It works because you wrote it — and nobody else can read it.

02

Your DMs

Business and personal, in the same inbox. Your athletes' film is somewhere in the camera roll. What you told someone last block is buried under a hundred messages.

03

Your notes

Meet day: openers, seconds, thirds, kilos and pounds — plus the cues and the "what worked", scattered through your phone's notes.

04

Your head

The last place that holds it together — and the first thing that drops when the next athlete joins.

One place

Forge

The programs, the logging, the film, the messages and meet day, in one account — the six screens below are that account, running.

Every minute spent hunting for something is a minute you didn't spend coaching — or taking on the next athlete.

"My athletes think I have a system. I have forty-seven browser tabs." — a joke, attributed to nobody.

The block goes in.

Build it in Forge — weeks across the top, each day's lifts with sets × reps, load and RPE, top sets tagged — or bring the spreadsheet you already coach from, further down this page. Nothing becomes real until you say so.

They log it, set by set.

Weight, reps, RPE. The tick logs the set exactly as prescribed; the × marks it failed. A note on any set, a camera on every set. Your note for the day sits right above the first lift, and the plates for the bar are one tap away.

Play it. Draw on it. Send the note.

Clips file themselves under the lifter and the lift, top sets first. Open one: slow it to 0.25×, step it a frame at a time, loop A to B. Draw with a pen, a line, an arrow, a circle, a box or an angle — pinned to one moment, or across the whole clip. Mark a time and it becomes a button the athlete taps to jump straight there. Send, and the athlete is notified.

Numbers that mean something.

Total, bodyweight and DOTS, computed from the records they log. Squat, bench and deadlift records save themselves from the sets — there is nothing to click. Weekly volume, sets by muscle, all-time PRs and consistency sit underneath, each with a line that says what it means.

Openers, seconds, thirds — and where they sit.

Every meet you are part of, nearest first, with the days out. The attempt sheet is planned together: you set the official plan, the athlete's proposals stay visible until you accept or replace them, and every attempt is placed against their PR and estimated max — in kilograms or pounds.

From a spreadsheet

Paste the block you already wrote.

Copy the cells straight out of your coaching sheet — Google Sheets, Excel, .csv or .tsv — and Forge reads them: days, lifts, sets × reps, loads and RPE. The reading is painted onto your own cells, so you see exactly what it understood, and what it skipped, before anything becomes real.

  • Your sheet, read as written — days, lifts, sets, reps, loads and RPE.
  • Skipped cells are marked, not guessed — "Unread — Forge will ask".
  • It lands as a draft you review — nothing becomes a program until you press "Make it real".
  • Whole workbooks, tab by tab — bring the .xlsx and choose the tabs; a .csv or .tsv is one tab.
Step 3 of the Forge importer, Check the reading: Forge's own 4-day powerlifting sample with each column painted by role — Sets, Reps, Weight and RPE — over the sheet's own cells, Week 1 day by day.

Or try it with ours. Two clean sample blocks, Forge's own — a 4-day powerlifting block and a bodybuilding split — or your own block pasted in. Each opens the demo above with the sheet already in the paste box — press Continue and Forge paints its reading onto the cells. Nothing you open is saved.

Or — the full block as tab-separated text, for pasting anywhere.

Nothing you paste in the demo is saved — its own banner says so. The phone imports too — bring the .xlsx, .csv or .tsv and the same reader reads it. The paste box is the web app's.

Coaches on Forge

Who makes it, and who's next.

Real names, real permission, no stock quotes. One entry today — the person who built it. The wall opens for coaches as they arrive.

"I'm a powerlifter and I train under a coach, so I've lived the spreadsheet from the athlete's side of the table. The programming was great; the tooling wasn't — sets in one tab, video in the camera roll, feedback across DMs. So I built the thing I wanted to train with. The coach still writes the program; software shouldn't be the one deciding how you train."
Imran · powerlifter, and the person building Forge
A photo of Imran, and two lines from him. This slot is reserved and stays empty until he supplies them — no stock face, no invented line. Not filled yet.

On the phone

Their next session is already on their phone.

Forge is on the App Store and Google Play. Athletes log from the gym floor; coaches review from the phone, or from any browser. One account, both.

  • What your athlete does on the phone
  • Today's session, the moment you send the block.
  • Every set logged — weight, reps, RPE, failed or not.
  • A note to you on any set.
  • Film recorded in the app and attached to the set it belongs to.
  • Your notes and drawings, with a jump to the moment you marked.
  • Training a day early? Log it against the day it was planned for.
  • A message to you, from the same app — no DMs.
